To make your transition to our new website as smooth as possible, we offer a simple solution to retain your favorite products.
Would you like to transfer your most purchased products to our new website?
Unfortunately, your current favorites lists will not be carried over to our new website. However, we can provide you with a list of your most purchased products from the past 12 months, which you can then import as your new favorites list on the new website.
If you would like such a list, please contact our customer service, and we will be happy to assist you!
Contact customer service, and we will update the correct information about you/your company in our business system. The changes will take effect immediately.
Standard refers to your usual carrier. This means that we use the transportation solution you typically have for your deliveries. If you have any specific questions about your carrier or delivery options, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service for more information.

Why is Swevet changing its name?
Swevet was acquired in August 2022 by AmerisourceBergen and MWI Animal Health. The name change is a continuation of the long-term strategy to establish a presence in the Nordic region. We want to show that we are part of the global veterinary wholesaler MWI Animal Health, which also operates in the UK and the USA.
However, we remain the same company with the same important values, committed to doing everything for healthier animals.
We are simply adding new advantages by being part of a larger company, such as a broader supplier network, larger volumes we can negotiate on, more expertise in various fields, technology, and much more.
Who is MWI Animal Health?
MWI Animal Health is a leading global distributor in animal health with established networks in the UK and the USA.
What does MWI stand for?
The name MWI comes from the initials of Millard Wallace Ickes, a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and skilled rider who started a distribution company in Idaho in the 1970s.
Why did Swevet choose to merge with MWI Animal Health?
MWI Animal Health shares our passion for animal welfare and supporting animal health professionals. Like us, they are dedicated to providing quality service.
What customers does MWI Animal Health serve?
MWI has an expansive customer base that includes veterinary practices for companion animals, facilities for production animals, and retailers.
What does this name change mean for our customers?

How will this affect how Swevet conducts business?
The acquisition will not affect the way we do business. Swevet is still the same dedicated people we have always been. Our focus is, and will always be, to deliver high service and support to you.
What does it mean for Swevet to change its "commercial" name to MWI Animal Health?
Swevet AB is still our legal company name, and it will continue to appear on invoices, contracts, and in other contexts where the legal name must be present. The commercial name refers to the name we use in communication and dialogue with external parties.
What is the difference between Cencora, AmerisourceBergen, and MWI Animal Health?
Cencora/AmerisourceBergen is an American multinational wholesale company that distributes pharmaceuticals and equipment to the global pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sectors.
MWI Animal Health is a division within AmerisourceBergen that provides veterinary solutions, i.e., products, distribution, and technical solutions for animal health. MWI Animal Health is currently present in the USA, the UK, and the Nordic region, represented by us in Sjöbo.

Pharmaceuticals & Pharmacy
In order to approve you as a purchaser of pharmaceuticals, we need to receive a current veterinary number. Please note that this requirement applies both to new veterinary practices and to existing practices wishing to continue purchasing from us.
We have provided two specific registration forms for this purpose. The first form is intended for new veterinary practices that are not yet registered with us. The second form is for existing customers who need to update their information, including their veterinary number.
Please complete the appropriate form as clearly and thoroughly as possible to facilitate our review process. Once the form is filled out and complete, please sign it digitally and send it to us via email at: [email protected] or alternatively by mail to the following address:

Some pharmaceuticals are not approved in Sweden but can still be ordered/prescribed, known as licensed pharmaceuticals. A license is a sales permit for a specific pharmacy to sell a drug that is not approved in Sweden.
It is the customer's responsibility to create a license justification in KLAS, the system used to manage these licensed pharmaceuticals. If the license justification is missing or requires additional information, we will contact the customer via email or phone. If no justification is provided or if the justification is not updated within 5 working days, the order will be canceled. Once the license is approved, we will send out the pharmaceutical in question, provided it is in stock. Licensed pharmaceuticals that are not in stock will only be ordered once the license has been approved. Licensed pharmaceuticals prescribed for a specific animal owner will be fully charged to the prescriber/clinic, along with any other costs, if the animal owner does not pick up their ordered medication.

This applies to products with a pink banner labeled "Licensed Product."
The e-prescription service is provided by Muntra.se and currently costs 299 SEK per prescriber per month. However, MWI Animal Health covers this cost when you purchase pharmaceuticals from us for a value of at least 1,100 SEK per month per prescriber.
You will receive an invoice for the e-prescription service from Muntra. Please pay the invoice and email a copy to [email protected] within 30 days each month. We will verify your pharmaceutical purchase in the month following the submitted invoice and issue a credit for the amount.
When the credit invoice is received, the amount will be deducted from an existing invoice from us, and you will need to reference the invoice number.

Some of our local customers prefer to pick up their orders at the pharmacy store located at Forskaregatan 1D in Sjöbo. You can choose this option during checkout in our webshop, and you’re welcome to collect your order here with us.
Pickup orders must be placed in the webshop by 4:00 PM for collection the next business day between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. In urgent cases, we can process your order directly on-site. Please call ahead so we can prepare as much as possible.
Even the suspicion of a drug side effect should be reported; it does not need to be investigated or confirmed. The rules apply to both human and veterinary medicines. Reporting is also encouraged for cosmetics and hygiene products. Reports are submitted via Läkemedelsverket.
Ordering & Invoicing
We do not remove backordered items; they will be shipped as soon as they are back in stock. If you do not wish to receive your backordered items, you must inform us.
If you would like a consolidated backorder list, please contact us, and we will send one to you. This can be done weekly or whenever you request it. We hope this feature will be available on our website soon.
If you receive a credit invoice from us, you can handle it as follows:
- Deduct the amount from the credit invoice the next time you pay an invoice to us. You should enter the OCR number on the invoice you are paying, and we will then recognize that you have made a partial payment and understand that the remaining balance should be matched to your credit invoice.
If you would prefer to have your credit invoice refunded, you must contact us to provide your bank details. Please email customer service and write "credit invoice" in the subject line.
Delivery
You will always receive an email sent to the person who placed the order. For web orders, this is always the username – the email address that receives both the confirmation email and the email with the tracking information for your shipment.
In the email, you will find a link "track shipment here," where you will get details about when the package was sent, the estimated delivery date, the number of parcels, and if any items have been partially delivered (this means there are additional packages to be shipped for this order).
If you need an order urgently, you can place an emergency order that will be shipped immediately. Please note this in the message box in your shopping cart when placing your order.
We are currently working on revising our delivery schedules to improve the efficiency of our deliveries to customers and reduce our carbon footprint.
How does this affect me as a customer?
You will receive your ordered products once a week. This gives you the opportunity to plan your operations without constant interruptions for deliveries. The goal is to simplify and enhance your shopping experience.
What are the benefits of this new arrangement?
By consolidating backorders and ordered items for delivery once a week, you can avoid additional shipping costs and enjoy an efficient delivery schedule. Many of our large customers have already adopted this and are very satisfied with the results.
Can I still place emergency orders?
Of course! If you need an order urgently, you can still place emergency orders that will be shipped immediately. Just note this in the message box in your shopping cart when placing your order.
Which day can I expect my delivery if I follow the weekly delivery schedule?
Depending on your purchasing pattern, we will suggest the day that suits you best. We strive to adapt to your needs and preferences.

Benefits of the arrangement
By consolidating backorders and ordered items for delivery once a week, you can avoid additional shipping costs and benefit from an efficient delivery schedule. Many of our large customers have already adopted this and are very satisfied with the results.
Pack the polystyrene boxes according to our packing instructions, which you can find here. We accept whole and clean polystyrene boxes as well as cold packs that you received from MWI Animal Health. Shipping labels will be provided by us, and we will, of course, cover the return shipping cost. Please email our [email protected], and we will send you a return shipping label. You can hand the package to your Postnord driver during the next delivery to your clinic, or alternatively, drop it off at a Postnord agent or terminal.
